Condo Insurance That Covers Your Unit, Not Just the Building

Your HOA covers the building exterior, but everything inside your walls is your responsibility. Hill Agency makes sure you're not left holding the bill after a covered loss.

Coverage That Has Your Back

Every policy is built around your situation. We review what you have, find the gaps, and make sure you’re protected before you need to file a claim.

🏗️

Interior Structure (Walls-In)

Covers improvements and betterments you've made to your unit, flooring, cabinets, fixtures, and upgrades, that your HOA policy won't touch.

Protects your furniture, electronics, clothing, appliances, and belongings from theft, fire, and covered losses.

🏨

Loss of Use

Pays for temporary housing and living expenses if your condo becomes uninhabitable after a covered loss.

⚖️

Personal Liability

Covers you if a guest is injured in your unit or if you accidentally cause damage to a neighboring unit.

🔄

Loss Assessment Coverage

If your HOA levies a special assessment after a covered loss to common areas, this coverage can help pay your share.

💧

Water Damage Coverage

Covers water damage originating from within your unit, a burst pipe, appliance leak, or overflow, that causes damage to your unit or your neighbor's.

Frequently Asked Questions

Homeowners insurance covers the entire structure plus the interior. Condo insurance (HO-6) covers your unit's interior from the walls in, plus personal property and liability. Your HOA's master policy covers the building shell and common areas.

HOA master policies typically cover the building structure, roof, and common areas, not the inside of your unit. If a pipe bursts and damages your flooring or cabinets, that's on you without a personal condo policy.

If a covered event damages common areas of your building and your HOA doesn't have enough insurance to cover the repairs, they can assess each unit owner for a share of the cost. Loss assessment coverage helps pay your portion.

Calculate the cost to rebuild your interior improvements (flooring, cabinets, fixtures) and replace all your personal belongings. That sets your coverage floor. We also review your HOA master policy to identify any gaps.

No, your condo policy doesn't cover your vehicle. You need a separate auto policy for that. But bundling your condo and auto with Hill Agency earns you a multi-policy discount on both.
